Nicole has provided counseling services to children, adolescents and adults for over five years. She joined the staff of Therapeutic Treatment Center LLC in 2013 where she continues to serve as an outpatient therapist. Throughout Nicole’s career, she has engaged with clients with Attention Deficit Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Substance Use and Schizophrenia. Nicole is eclectic in her theoretical approach using Person Centered Therapy as her base combined with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and an array of creative therapeutic approaches. Nicole has worked in a variety of treatment settings from private practice, group counseling services and community based services.
Nicole earned an undergraduate degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with an English concentration and currently holds a teaching license for Elementary Education grades K-5. She obtained a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from South University. And as of August 2017, Nicole is a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Nicole continues to work with the public school system on a consultative basis to provide therapeutic strategies and counseling services to students with extensive trauma backgrounds and intense behavioral challenges.
Nicole believes that in order for change to occur in one’s behavior, there first needs to be a change in one’s heart and mind. Nicole is focused on holistic healing as it pertains to one’s mind, body and soul.
