Gregory located to Richmond, Virginia in August of 2009 to attend Virginia State University. He always had a passion for helping other’s and he wanted to pursue a career as a pediatrician, so he obtained his Bachelor’s in Science degree, concentrating in pre-medicine March 2013. Throughout his undergraduate years, he became a member of The Betterment of Brothers and Sisters Inc., where he volunteered in a numerous of community activities helping children, adolescents, and the elderly; Big Brothers Big Sisters, March of Dimes, 4H-Tutoring program, Habit for Humanity, and Upward Bound just to name a few. Through his various community service projects, he gained a stronger passion for helping all people, which led him to obtain his Master’s in Education, concentrating in Community Counseling March 2016 at Virginia State University.
Gregory began working with Mental Health adults upon receiving his Bachelors’ in 2013. In 2014, he began working with children and adolescents with behavioral and mental health needs. Gregory Specializes in working with children, adolescents, and adults with substance use issues, depression, anxiety, parenting, and co-occurring disorders. Currently, he is seeking to become a License Professional Counselor and is in his residency at Therapeutic Treatment Center, LLC.
Gregory wants to meet each of his client’s needs, in doing so he uses the following therapeutic approaches; person centered, solution focus, reality theory, psycho-education, cognitive behavior therapy, humanistic approach, and behavioral theory. Gregory’s motto for his client’s is L.E.V.E.L.S, which stands for Leading, Elevating, Valuing, Everyone, Launching, Success. He believes that the only way to help others succeed in life is to mold, teach, and inspire them to be a better person than yesterday.
